Why the Roving Petaler…

One of my first memories is the happy feeling I got watching my father standing over his rose garden, tending and training the long thorny stems into a somewhat manageable, if chaotic, throng of flowers.  He was organic way before it was a thing, and we used to compost all our eggshells, banana peels and veg scraps which he used to grow the most glorious smelling petals.

Since then, I have been lucky enough to travel and live in many places around the world and wherever I am, I look for the flowers.  It may be a formal park, a private garden, a local flower vendor, or even a small window box but the miracle of nature combined with the creative energy that is so visibly present behind every garden or arrangement brings me enormous joy.    So, in 2018, I left my 20 year career in public affairs behind to seek out beauty and bring it to friends, family and new clients, whom I hope will be friends I have yet to meet.  I hope you like my flowers, and if you do, please get in touch.

With love,

Susan, aka, The Roving Petaler
